Time4Change

The 9th annual Time4Change Day presented by Tangerine is an all-day, youth-helping-youth initiative that will see 600 students and volunteers takeover more than 25 of Toronto’s TTC stations, PATH locations and high-traffic urban areas to inspire commuters with original theatre, dance, visual arts, music and spoken word performances that share staggering realities of the youth homelessness crisis in Toronto.

Participants will also collect spare change, TTC fare and donations made by credit or debit cards to support transportation costs and essential programming at Youth Without Shelter (YWS), an Etobicoke shelter and support house serving more than 1,000 homeless youth every year.

About Time4Change
Time4Change is a year-round program run by Youth Without Shelter (YWS) and its partners that educates  Toronto students about youth homelessness and art activism. The program culminates in Time4Change Day, whose mission is to end youth homelessness one youth, one step and one donation at a time. To date, Time4Change has raised $634,000.

About Youth Without Shelter
Youth Without Shelter (YWS) is the singular emergency residence and referral agency in Etobicoke serving and supporting homeless youth ages 16 to 24 for three decades. Life circumstances have not been kind to the youth in these programs — they are victims of abuse, abandonment or have no family at all. YWS not only provides safety and security for youth, but has evolved to provide a full circle of care for more than 1,000 youth annually including counselling, effective life skills programs, employment guidance, placement in affordable housing and support for continued education. Youth Without Shelter was recognized on the Top 100 Charities in Canada 2019 List by MoneySense, ranking #1 in the Youth Category for financial and social results transparency.
