Incumbent Liberal Patrick Weiler is projected to keep his seat in West Vancouver–Sunshine Coast–Sea to Sky Country, with 257 of 258 polls reporting Tuesday morning.
Weiler captured 33.6 per cent of the vote in the 2021 federal election, with Conservative John Weston taking 29.9 per cent and NDP’s Avi Lewis with 25.7 per cent.
Pamela Goldsmith-Jones of the Liberals, and former West Vancouver mayor, was first elected in 2015.
She didn’t run again in 2019, but her party kept the seat when Weiler won with almost 35 per cent of the vote, ahead of the Conservatives’ Gabrielle Loren and the Greens’ Dana Taylor.
This sprawling riding has traded between the Liberals and Conservatives for the past two decades.
