In one of the closest watched races in the country during this federal election, NDP candidate Bonita Zarillo is projected to win in the riding of Port Moody-Coquitlam.

Conservative Nelly Shin won this riding in 2019, beating Zarrillo by only 153 votes.

Shin captured 32.3 per cent of the vote by Tuesday morning, while Zarrillo had 36.7 per cent.

The Liberals’ Will Davis captured 27.2 per cent of the vote.

Before Shin won this riding in 2019, the seat had previously been held by the NDP’s Fin Donnelly, who decided not to run again after 10 years in office.
