Fashion brand rips a Kurt Cobain design for a $657 t-shirt

Fashion brand Vetements created a $490 US graphic t-shirt that rips a shirt worn by Kurt Cobain. Back in 1992, Nirvana showed up on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine. For the shoot, Kurt Cobain crafted up a simple white t-shirt with the drawn on slogan Sharpie style, ‘Corporate magazines still suck.’ Take that Rolling Stone!

Vetements added an “A LOT!” to the end and here we are.

Editors notes read: In 1992 it was Mr Kurt Cobain’s way to thumb his nose at the establishment from the cover of Rolling Stone – ‘Corporate magazines still suck’ – and in 2019 it’s Mr Demna Gvasalia’s way of doing the same from the Vetements runway. This cotton-jersey T-shirt features the statement with an addition of an anarchist symbol, and was included in the ‘Anti-Social’ portion of the show.
