Watch someone take a joyride on the back of a TTC bus

Torontonians can be crazy. In a city of nearly three million people, wild things go down on a daily basis. Sometimes those wild things are caught on camera, posted to social media and go viral, and that’s exactly what happened here.

The other night, Twitter user @Gure_Omar posted a video of someone hanging off the back of a moving TTC bus. “Only in Toronto,” he chuckles in the video, before he starts conversing with the brave anarchist.

Clinging to the back of the advertising panel with his feet firmly planted on the bumper, spider-man style, the joyrider gleefully shouts “f*ck the system” and “Warya!” – a Somali slang word.

Of course, TTC officials are not happy with this. TTC spokesperson Stuart Green emphasized how dangerous the act of joyriding is.

“This individual appears to be hanging from the advertising panel which is held on by rivets and not designed or intended for ill-advised human dangling,” Green said. “This is a reckless, dangerous and stupid stunt. This individual is not only putting themselves in harm’s way, but other motorists as well.”
