Hey, I know it’s January and all you wanna do is hide inside and sleep until it’s not -100000 degrees outside, but check out this cool new attraction in Toronto. It’s called The Bentway Skating Trail and it is an awesome place.
Not only do you get 220m of grade-A quality ice, stretching from Bathurst to Strachan, but there are all sorts of neat events happening here throughout the winter.
You’ve got art installations, DJ nights, skate instruction, food trucks, plus free skate rentals on Mondays from 6-9pm thanks to Billy Bishop Airport.
Opening hours are Sunday-Thursday 11am-9pm and Friday and Saturday 11am-11pm, and skate rentals are available 4pm-9pm on weekdays and all-day on weekends.
Plus, in the summer it’ll be turned into an urban space with different art installations popping up, and a nice path you can walk around with your regular shoes!
If you’re feeling a chill or a thirst, grab hot and cold drinks in the StrongBow Lounge!
Carly (wait, that’s me!) will be at The Bentway this Saturday pulling triple…cows…of the sow variety…upon googling it’s spelled salchow. TRIPLE SALCHOWS! Come visit her and score some Edge swag this Saturday afternoon.
